Your Zanzibar holiday begins with your arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, complete the arrival formalities and meet your driver for your private transfer to the selected beach hotel or resort. Check in, unpack and leave the travel day behind. Take a walk along the beach as the afternoon cools down and enjoy your first Zanzibar sunset.
Later, return to your hotel for dinner and your first night on the island.

After breakfast, head out to discover Zanzibar beyond its beaches. Today combines history, culture and an island adventure with a visit to Stone Town and Prison Island.
Explore Historic Stone Town
Begin with a guided walking tour through Stone Town, the historic heart of Zanzibar City and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through its maze of narrow streets while discovering the mixture of Swahili, Arab, Indian and European influences that have shaped Zanzibar over centuries. Depending on your selected tour, you'll see colourful markets, historic buildings, beautifully carved Zanzibar doors and some of Stone Town's best-known landmarks. Your local guide will introduce you to the stories behind the old town and give you a better understanding of Zanzibar's history and culture.
After exploring Stone Town, continue towards the waterfront.
Prison Island
Board a boat and cruise across the Indian Ocean to Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island. Explore the island, learn about its history and meet the famous giant tortoises.There will also be time to enjoy the beautiful island surroundings and take photographs before boarding your boat back to Stone Town. Later, transfer back to your beach resort. The remainder of the afternoon and evening is free for relaxation.

Wake up to another tropical morning and enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Today, it's time to experience Zanzibar from the water. Head out for a Mnemba snorkeling excursion, one of Zanzibar's popular marine experiences.
Cruise Towards Mnemba
Board your boat and cruise through the beautiful waters around Zanzibar's northeast coast towards the Mnemba area. The journey itself is part of the experience, with turquoise water and beautiful coastal scenery surrounding you.
Snorkeling Experience
When conditions allow, put on your snorkeling equipment and enter the warm Indian Ocean. Explore beneath the surface and look out for colourful tropical fish and other marine life. You don't need to be an experienced diver to enjoy Zanzibar's underwater world – snorkeling gives you an accessible way to experience it. After the excursion, return to shore and transfer back to your resort.
The rest of the afternoon is deliberately free..

After breakfast, today belongs entirely to you. There are no morning tours. Sleep a little longer, enjoy a slow breakfast and spend the day taking advantage of the reason you came to Zanzibar in the first place – the beach.
But we recommend leaving at least part of today free. After three days of travelling and exploring, a proper beach day is well deserved.
Sunset Dhow Cruise
Later in the afternoon, get ready for one final Zanzibar experience. Board a traditional wooden dhow and sail along the coastline as the afternoon begins to cool. Sit back, feel the ocean breeze and watch the colours change across the Indian Ocean as the sun begins to set. For couples, it's one of the most romantic ways to finish a Zanzibar holiday.For families and groups of friends, it's simply a beautiful way to spend your final evening together.After sunset, return to your hotel and enjoy your last dinner in Zanzibar.

Wake up to your final morning in Zanzibar. Enjoy breakfast and don't rush. Depending on your flight schedule, there may still be enough time for one last swim, a walk along the beach or a few quiet hours beside the pool. Later, check out and meet your driver for your private transfer to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport.
Board your flight back to Nairobi and bring your five-day island escape to an end. Five days may go quickly. But between Stone Town, Prison Island, snorkeling around Mnemba and those long hours beside the Indian Ocean, you'll be taking plenty of Zanzibar memories home with you.
